Grossmont's Frost Delivers Power, Harbor's Bauer Fans 14 As SoCal Player/Pitcher of the Week #7
Grossmont College freshman leftfielder Druw Frost and LA Harbor righthander Lucas Bauer were selected as CCCBCA SoCal Player/Pitcher of the Week #7 (March 2-8).
A 5-foot-11 lefty-batting leftfielder from San Diego's Point Loma High, Frost batted .500 and slugged three home runs in three consecutive victories by the Griffins. He added a triple, two doubles, scored eight runs, had seven RBI and collected 20 total bases.
Bauer, a 5-11 sophomore transfer righthander from Allegheny College and Saint Mary's High both in Pennsylvania, struck out 14 Rio Hondo batters in six innings of 1-hit shutout ball, receiving a no decision. He was part of a Seahawks combined pitching performance of 23 Ks in a 6-5 victory in 12 innings.
