Number 5 Palomar Steady In CCCBCA Home Run 30 Rankings #8

Palomar College comes in at #5 as a South Region heavy in the CCCBCA Home Run 30 Rankings (March 9-15).

The Comets are 8-0 to tie #16 Grossmont at the top of the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference standings and also have won eight straight overall.

No changes in the top with Fresno City at #1, #2 Santa Ana, #3 Ohlone, #4 El Camino, and Palomar. Riverside City continues its steady climb, up four spaces to #6, followed by #7 San Joaquin Delta, #8 Santa Rosa, #9 Skyline, and piping hot Feather River in the midst of a 15-game win streak, sending it upward to #10.

Newcomers to the ratings are #23 College of Marin, #25 Hartnell and #30 Cerritos, giving the South Coast its first week with two teams among the rankings.

It's now an even split of 15 each region in this week's Home Run 30.

They have won 6 in a row and are tied with Palomar atop the PCAC standings at 8-0. Destin Allen-Fox strikes out 13 in 7 IP in 7-2 win in finale over SDCC. 	CABRILLO, Coast South	13-10	The Seahawks lost 2 of 3 v. Hartnell to open Coast South games. Anthony Sullivan 7 IP shutout ball, 4 H, 8 Ks in 8-2 opening win. He travels well.
	PASADENA CITY, South Coast	12-10	The Lancers jump over the .500 mark, sweep Compton in a 3-game series. Omar Cisneros RBI machine, 11 for week, 15 in the last five games.
	LA PIERCE, Western State	12-10	The Brahmas swept Moorpark in a 3-game series. Christian Santiago 7-for-12 in series.
	SANTA BARBARA CITY, Western State North	11-9	The Vaqueros swept Oxnard in a 3-game series, have won 5 straight. Cole Ide 2-for-2, 2 SF's, 5 RBI in 18-1 finale win. Beware of the Ide of March for opposing pitchers.
	SACRAMENTO CITY, Big 8	12-11	The Panthers lost 2 of 3 v. Delta. Ned Frutchy 7 IP 3-hit scoreless in 8-1 series opening win. He is good in the clutch-y on the hill.
	ORANGE COAST, Orange Empire	11-10	The Pirates are swept by Santa Ana in a 3-game series. Ryan Farias 6-for-11, 2 HR, 5 RBI in the three defeats.	State #27
	MT. SAN JACINTO, Inland Empire Athletic	12-11	The Eagles lost 2 of 3 v. San Bernardino Valley, but stopped a 5-game losing streak in a 6-1 finale win. Dayton Thompson has a day as he fires CG 6-hitter, no walks, 7 Ks for the mound triumph.
	IRVINE VALLEY, Orange Empire	13-9	The Lasers swept by Riverside in 3-game series, have lost 7 in a row. Jackson Chastain with solid 6 IP, 5 H no decision in 2-1 loss middle game. A performance worthy of an Oscar.	State #22
	TAFT, Central Valley	12-10	The Cougars were swept by Fresno in a 3-game series. Aiden Otano 4 RBI aided Taft's cause in the three games, drove in at least one in each.
	YUBA, Bay Valley	11-10	The 49ers lost 2 of 3 v. Napa Valley. Joe Cassetta 2-for-6, grand slam, 6 RBI in 22-7 middle game win.
	LOS MEDANOS, Bay Valley	13-8	The Mustangs lost 2 of 3 v. Solano to start BVC action. Chris Olsen 4-for-5, 2 2B, 4 RBI in middle 18-11 loss. Superman isn't the only one at the Daily Planet who can deliver.	State #29

	VENTURA, Western State North	12-12	The Pirates win 2 of 3 v. Oxnard, snapping 4-game losing skein with 5-4 win in middle game. Lucas Martinov 4-for-4, 2 BB, 4 R, 2B, 3B, 5 RBI in 17-3 finale rout.
	SOUTHWESTERN, Pacific Coast Athletic	11-11	The Jaguars finished off a 2-game series sweep over Imperial Valley, then split a 2-gamer v. San Diego Mesa. EJ Barnes 7-for-12 in a barnstorming tour.
	CERRO COSO, Inland Empire Athletic	12-12	The Coyotes swept Chaffey in a 3-game series. Andrew Bain homers in back-to-back, tail end of series wins. Andrew could be popular name for new baseball moms.
